Dad, CEO & Commissioner
Jeff is co-founder with his wife Natalie of ParentingDiabeticKids.com, SLAMDiabetes, All For A Cure, LLC and SLAMT1D, Inc. When their youngest daughter Johanna was diagnosed in April 2005, he promised her he would do everything he could to beat T1D. It’s been “Pedal Down” ever since. Jeff is responsible for SLAMT1D’s strategic vision, planning and implementation, as well as managment of daily operations.
He graduated from St. Anselm College and attended Indiana University’s Russian language immersion program. Prior to his involvement in T1D-related initiatives, Jeff’s commercial real estate development career included office, medical and mixed use projects in the Northeast United States and Russia. He played rugby for a bunch of years and is still walking!
Business Operations Manager
Wendee and her family attended their first SLAMT1D tournament in June 2014, shortly after her then 2-year old son Luke was diagnosed with T1D. Luke was invited to be an honorary captain for one of the tournament teams. Last year, Wendee and her husband Pearse entered a team in the Vermont Summer Classic WIFFLE Ball Tournament. They were hooked! Wendee is SLAMT1D, Inc.’s Business Operations Manager responsible for financial reporting, general operations, donor and campaign databases and a little grant writing in her spare time. Wendee has a B.S. in business and a M.S. in Finance from St. Michael’s College.
She and Pearse, and their four children ranging in age from 1 to 11, reside in Vermont where they enjoy all four seasons: early winter, mid-winter, late winter, and next winter. Their son, Luke, was diagnosed with T1D in 2013. Wendee wants to convert the challenges and heartache that go along with the disease to helping Luke and other T1Ders to live life in full each and every day.
