Just when teams like The Garage, IBEW and Lions Striders thought they might be on Easy Street headed toward this year’s fundraising and championship trophies, this guy’s already registered his team and recruited some top talent, with plans to upset everyone’s apple carts! Who can that be?
No one other than Jeff Seward!
Jeff was a perennial top fundraiser for the Summer Classic, taking the trophy for #1 fundraiser two years in a row in 2014 and 2015 and went neck-and-neck with Liam O’Farrell in 2016. His Slammers raised $13,633 in 2016 under Jeff’s leadership and they always fielded high-energy, fun teams who brought a big cheering section with them. After a couple of years away and a career transition that has him at with a group of game-changers at OpenTempo, he can’t wait to get back to Little Fenway.
“I really missed the Summer Classic and everyone involved. It’s an amazing tournament and everyone’s there to support SLAMT1D and everything it does for kids with Type 1. I’m really excited about the group of people here at OpenTempo and how we’ve embraced the opportunity. We’re into it!”
