27 May DHS Teachers and Captains Council To Battle in Midday Match-up
Danbury High’s Teachers will play the DHS’ Captains Council in a midday match-up of two teams looking to capture the first SLAMDiabetes Western Connecticut Classic WIFFLE ball championship at Danbury High School on Saturday, June 7. Michael Schneider, Council team captain who’s headed to Penn State in September, says beating the DHS Teachers is more important than graduation. “We can’t lose to them. If we do, I’ll defer college for a year just to have another crack at them in 2015. Well, maybe not. But I’ll come back to form an alumni team.” Player Eric Cerno tried to calm his teammate. “Mike can start packing for college now. The teachers don’t have a chance.”
Chris Fay is captain of the DHS Teachers. “We expect their best, but we’ll be ready. Mr. Schneider would be well-advised to plan to re-enroll at DHS, because we will prevail next Saturday.”
The DHS Teachers also play the DHS Softball team at 10:30AM.
